Vidalia Port
CEIDD is currently working with the City of Vidalia in the development of a port which will provide access to the Mississippi River. It will be located across from the Whitehall Plantation and convenient to the Vidalia Industrial Park.
LOCATION – Located on U.S. Highway 131, approximately 2 miles south of the City of Vidalia adjacent to the Vidalia Industrial Park.
ORGANIZATION – The Vidalia Port Commission was created by Act No. 10 of the 1981
extraordinary session of the Louisiana Legislature. It is governed by board of commissioners consisting of 5 members who serve for a 2-year term.
