Mayor Glen McGlothin
Mayor of Ferriday


Mayor Glen McGlothin is presently serving as the Mayor, Town of Ferriday. He also served from 1988-1996 and again in 2000-2004.
He graduated from Ferriday High School in 1965 and furthered his education at Northeast Louisiana University until 1967 when he was drafted into the Army and served our country in Viet Nam. Upon returning to the United States, he attended the New Orleans Barber School and Graduated in 1971.
In 1971-1988, Mayor McGlothin owned his own barber business.
McGlothin is an active member in many organizations. He is currently serving as president of the Highway 84 El Camino Commission, and served as President of Kisatchie Delta Planning District for two years. He was Chairman of Macon Ridge for one year and Chairman of Concordia Parish Economic Development District for two years. Mayor McGlothin is also President of the Miss Lou Rural Tourism planning committee, which consists of 11 Louisiana Parishes and 13 Mississippi counties that border the Mississippi River Region.

From 2004-2008, Mayor McGlothin served as the Marketing Director for the City of Vidalia.

Mayor McGlothin has four children; Julie, Erin, Mallory and Bryce.
