In 1993, Concordia Economic & Industrial Development District(CEIDD) was created and declared a political body and political subdivision of the State of Louisiana.

CEIDD has been established for the primary purpose of promoting and encouraging economic and industrial development. In achieving its purpose, CEIDD will stimulate the economy by renewing existing, and by attracting new commerce & industry. This will ultimately develop natural & human resources in the area by providing job opportunities.

The governing board consists of eight members, which are as follows:

Town of Clayton - Mayor Rydell Turner
Town of Ferriday - Mayor Glen McGlothin
Town of Ridgecrest - Mayor Kevin Graham
Town of Vidalia - Mayor Hyram Copeland

Concordia Parish police jury - Melvin Ferrington- President

Three (3) at-large members appointed by the governing authority of Concordia Parish include:

Secretary-Treasurer - Sue Grayson

Member at large - Henderson Cook
Member at large - Kippy Blaney
